IFTA Calculation ("we," "us," "this site") provides a free, browser-based IFTA quarterly fuel tax estimator for owner-operators and trucking fleets. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the site and how it's used.
1. Data You Enter Into the Calculator
Trip data you type into the calculator (state/province, miles driven, gallons purchased) is processed entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. It is not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers. If you close the tab or reload the page, that data is gone. We have no access to it.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use a small amount of local browser storage (localStorage) to remember that you've dismissed the cookie notice. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
If and when this site displays advertising through Google AdSense, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick/Google Ads cookie) and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This is standard for AdSense-supported sites.

Like most websites, our hosting provider (e.g., Cloudflare Pages) automatically logs standard technical information for security and performance purposes — such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. These logs are retained only as long as necessary for operational and security purposes and are not used to identify individual users for marketing.
6. Children's Privacy
This site is intended for commercial trucking professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA to request information about, or deletion of, any data associated with you. Since we do not collect personally identifying information through the calculator itself, most requests will relate to cookie/advertising data controlled by Google — see Section 3 above for opt-out links.
